1. Data Dialogue: IPEDS 2007 data feedback report for Maui CC from National Center for Education Statistics - Clyde |
▪ Continued from last meeting; reviewed report and discussed findings and implications |
▪ Review ways to improve communication with high schools and parents on recruitment and retention issues |

2. US Senate staff visit 1/8/08 - Clyde |
▪ Members of the US Senate Appropriations and Housing & Transportation committees, along w/Maui County Council members, will be visiting 1/8/08. Tour & lunch being planned |
▪ Suzette to arrange lunch at the Class Act |

3. Spring tuition status – David |
▪ As of 12/11/07, $1,355,965 = 4.6% ahead of last year ▪ Target is $1,759,000 |

4. Enrollment - Michele |
▪ 2,084 current enrollment; this is 280 ahead of last year ▪ 161 are new students |
▪ Michele will follow up w/Alvin on persistence percentages |

5. Kulana’ao - Clyde |
▪ 25 residents for spring 2008 ▪ 15 new applicants being reviewed |

6. Student Life Center - David |
▪ 1/9/07 is final walk through to accept all the areas except the Wellness Center, which still has issues with flooring ▪ Alternative plan for Library book storage may be necessary if Wellness Center is unavailable |
▪ Office relocations should begin as soon as possible for Suzette’s & Alvin’s areas |

7. HUD grant--Lau`ulu Center project |
▪ Pat provided update; flood zone issue being addressed with county planning department. |
▪ Pat to obtain information on HUD grant deadline extension possibilities |

8. Spring Convocation |
▪ Focus will be on Strategic Plan & sustainability |
▪ Suzette to follow up with Ramsey Taum on his sustainability presentation |

9. WASC status |
▪ UH President wants MCC’s new baccalaureate proposals by end of January 2008 |
▪ Suzette working on preparing proposals ▪ Clyde to attend January 10 Academic Senate meeting to provide updates |

10. Class Cancellations - Suzette |
▪ 9 classes were cancelled with fewer than 4 enrolled; 1 class was added ▪ The next cut with fewer than 10 enrolled will be 1/8/08; faculty have been notified |
▪ Cancellation criteria being reviewed by Suzette ▪ Suzette to determine how many seats are available by majors |
