§ Enrollment Growth Fund estimate was discussed. In order for the college to receive projected enrollment growth funds, Spring 2009 classes must be filled; persistence and retention important. § Suzette reported more classes are being offered in Spring 2009 than Spring 2008. § David reported a carryover balance from last year of $300,000 § Coverage of 10% reduction requirement: o Reduced by VP Mortons funds o Electricity budget need to reduce by 10% = $167,000 § Remaining reduction to be covered: $91,329 o $59,000 security o $10,000 security for dorm. o $22,259 student assistants campus wide § $258,912 = 20% of proposed cuts (larger because it does not include a reduction from VP Morton). § Cutting our marketing contribution to the System could affect any marketing assistance we receive. § Possible to increase our tuition revenues through persistence and retention. § Summer 2008 earned $135,000 without marketing; 640 students served. Could consider a value package of housing and courses and market to mainland students. § Possible test of four-day work week during the summer. Could close buildings to save electricity.
