APIASF General Scholarship Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

• Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census

The APIASF General Scholarship online application will open on September 21, 2017 and close on January 11, 2018 at 5:00 PM EST. Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. APIASF provides scholarships to underserved APIA students with a special focus on those who:

The Women's League of Central Union Church is happy to announce that we are able to make available the Kenneth O. and Doris A. Rewick Educational Aid Fund and the Ruth C. Scudder Scholarship. Both awards are based on need and NOT on religious affiliation, per se. Scholarships are budgeted each year, based on status of funds from the Women's League Thrift Shop and monetary gifts designated for the awards.

Farm Credit Services of Hawaii, ACA Scholarship

Farm Credit Services of Hawaii, ACA recognizes the role of education in the ongoing viability of agriculture in the state of Hawaii. We remain committed to agriculture and to help show our support we offer two $1,500 scholarship each school year. To be eligible for the scholarship the following guidelines apply – Candidates must:

• Have graduated or will be graduating from High School in the year of application.
• Supply proof of enrollment at the college, university, or trade school they will be attending.
• Have the intent to further their education in an agricultural related field.
• Provide two letters of recommendation (other than family members).
• Provide a copy of their last report card or transcripts.

Dolphin Scholarship Foundation

SUMMARY OF ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicant Eligibility

Dependent Children
- Be a child or stepchild of a member or former member of the U.S. Navy Submarine Force
- Be a high school senior or be currently enrolled as a student in a college or an accredited vocational or technical institute
- Be unmarried and under the age 24 at time of the application deadline, March 15
- Intend to or be enrolled as a full-time student working toward an Associate's or Baccalaureate degree at a two or four year accredited universtiy or college or be working toward vocational/technical certification at an accredited institute. Scholars attending any Military Service Academy are NOT eligible for the Dolphin Scholarship.
Dependent Spouses
- Be the dependent spouse of a member or former member of the U.S. Navy Submarine Force
- Intend to or be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student with a minimum of 12 credit hours per year in order to receive an Associate's or Baccalaureate degree at a two or four year accredited universtiy or college or be working toward vocational/technical certification at an accredited institute.
Restrictions on Eligibility
-Former Dolphin Scholars who have received the maximum amount of scholarship funding ($13,600) are not eligible to apply for a vocational/technical scholarship.
- Members of the immediate family of any employee of the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation are not eligible to receive a Dolphin Scholarship.

Sponsor Eligibility
Sponsor must meet one (1) of the following requirements:
- Sponsor must be qualified in submarines and served on active duty in the Submarine Force for a minimum of 8 years.
OR
- Sponsor must have served on active duty in submarine support activities (e.g., submarine bases, tenders and rescue vessels) for a minimum of 10 years.

Additional Criteria
-Years of service need not be consecutive; however, qualifying years must have been served on ACTIVE DUTY. Time served as a Naval Academy or NROTC midshipman, in Officer Candidate School, in "Boot Camp", or as a member of the inactive or Selected Naval Reserve cannot be used to establish eligibility.
- Time in service requirement may be waived by DSF if Sponsor qualified in submarines and was medically discharged or retired due to injury or illness which occurred in the line of duty.
- There is no minimum period of service for children of qualified submariners who were killed in the line of duty while serving in the Submarine Force.

Faith C. Ai Memorial Scholarship

Qualifying students:

1. In, or from, the state of Hawaii; and

2. are currently enrolled in an accredited American college or university; and

3. maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5; and

4. are full-time undergraduate students majoring in Education who are about to start their fourth (4th) year of study (i.e., the first semester of their 4th year) toward a Bachelor’s degree in Education); or

5. are full-time Master’s degree students who are about to start their second year of study toward a Master’s degree, majoring in any subject, as long as they have completed a minimum of two (2) semesters, but not more than four (4) semesters of graduate studies, and who intend to teach; or

6. are full-time Ph.D. degree students who have completed at least ten (10) semesters of study toward a doctorate, majoring in any subject, who have completed a minimum of ten (10) semesters in a doctoral program, and intend to teach, or

7. are certified educators who have been teaching and are currently pursuing a Master’s degree (on a part-time or full-time basis) while they are continuing to teach, as long as they have completed a minimum of two (2) semesters, but not more than four (4) semesters of graduate studies, plus transcripts of all previous academic work reflecting the completion of a Bachelor’s degree; or

In memory of Faith C. Ai, the Board of Directors of the Faith C. Ai Memorial Scholarship Fund annually awards scholarships of up to $5,000 each to students currently enrolled in an accredited American college or university. The number and amount of the scholarships awarded vary from year-to-year.

Harriet Bouslog was Hawai'i's first female labor and civil rights lawyer for the ILWU Local 142, where she fought for workers' rights. She was outspoken, fearless, and unabashed by criticism. She believed that everyone deserved legal representation in upholding constitutional rights. When she retired, she created the Harriet Bouslog Labor Scholarship Fund to continue giving out scholarships to the families of union workers. The Koʻolaupoko Hawaiian Civic Club offers this scholarship annually to provide post-secondary financial aid to deserving students living in the Kāneʻohe-Kualoa area. In keeping with the mission and spirit of the Civic Club, two important aspects of the scholarship are the emphasis placed on completed volunteer community service and commitment to the preservation, cultivation, and perpetuation of Hawaiian culture.
